Antique Royal Doulton D4340 Hand-Painted English Cottage Landscape Plate – 26 cm – Early 20th Century

A beautiful antique Royal Doulton decorative plate, featuring a wonderfully atmospheric English countryside scene with a traditional thatched cottage nestled amongst mature trees and overlooking a tranquil river or pond.

The landscape is rendered in soft, muted greens, browns and blues, giving the piece the appearance of a small English landscape painting on pottery. The decoration extends across the entire plate, making it particularly attractive for display.

The reverse carries the Royal Doulton, Made in England backstamp together with the hand-painted pattern number D4340.

Dating to the early 20th century, this substantial plate measures approximately 26 cm in diameter.
